businesses have confirmed they are available in Preston
Out of 24 covering the town. Each of these was set by the business itself, in their own app, and expires on a timer.
Nobody has confirmed availability in Preston at the moment
That is a statement about what we can verify, not about the 24 businesses covering the town — any of them may be perfectly free and simply not have set a light today. You can still ask, and be told the moment somebody confirms.
Can’t see anyone free right now?
Speedi only counts businesses that have confirmed it themselves, so the number above is often small. It doesn’t mean nobody can help — it means nobody has said so yet today. Send us the job and we’ll get it to the right people in Preston.
How we know
What does "confirmed available" mean?
A business opened the Speedi Pro app and set their own light to green. It expires on a timer, so it means the last couple of hours rather than last week. We do not count a light anyone else set on their behalf — including ones Speedi sets to populate the map — which is why this number is smaller than the number of green pins you will see.
Why is the number so low?
Because it is the real one. 24 businesses cover Preston and 4 of them have the app installed. Setting a light is a deliberate act, and most businesses have not done it today. A directory would print the 24; this page prints the 0.
How often does this update?
Every few minutes. This page was generated at 20:54 on Monday 19 October.

- Cleaner available today? How to find one same dayGuests at six, an end of tenancy tomorrow, or it has just got away from you. Finding a cleaner who is free today is not about finding a cleaner — it is about finding out who has a gap.
- How to find a tradesperson who is actually free todayNot how to find a plumber — how to find one who can come out this afternoon. Those are different problems, and almost everything written about the first one is useless for the second.
- Is that local business free today? How to checkYou know who you want — the salon, the clinic, the electrician, the groomer. The only question is whether they can fit you in today, and a website that has not been touched since 2019 will not tell you.
Speedi is an availability network, not a directory. Businesses set their own traffic light — green, amber or red — and customers see who is genuinely free. We take no commission; you deal with the business direct.
