Connect your Checkatrade and Trustpilot to Speedi — and add the one thing they can't show
Your reviews took years to earn. Speedi doesn't ask you to start again — link them, and we add the only thing a review site has never been able to tell anybody: whether you're free right now.
Most tradespeople have already done the hard part somewhere else.
Eleven years of Checkatrade reviews. A Google rating built one job at a time. A Trustpilot page, a Rated People history, a Which? Trusted Trader badge that took an inspection to get. That reputation is real and it took years, and the last thing anybody wants to hear is that there is a new platform where they start at zero again.
So we do not ask you to.
Link them, do not rebuild them
On your Speedi profile you can add links to:
- Checkatrade
- Trustpilot
- Google Business
- Rated People
- MyBuilder
- Which? Trusted Traders
Plus your own website, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
They appear on your profile as links a customer can tap. Someone who finds you on Speedi and wants to check you out goes and reads your eleven years of reviews on the site where you earned them. We do not copy them, score them, or put our own rating next to them. They are yours, they stay where they are, and they do the job they have always done.
There is a practical reason for doing it this way as well as a polite one. Review sites do not take kindly to their content being scraped, and a rating lifted out of context is worth less than the page it came from. A link sends somebody to the real thing.
What we add
Here is the part no review site can do, and it is not a criticism of them — it is just not what they are for.
A review tells somebody you were good in March. It cannot tell them whether you can come out this afternoon.
That is the single most common reason a job does not happen. Not price, not trust — timing. Somebody needs a plumber today, finds three excellent ones, rings all three, and two do not answer while the third is booked until Thursday. The reviews were perfect and entirely beside the point.
On Speedi you set your own traffic light — green for free now, amber for free shortly, red for busy — and it expires on a timer, so it means now rather than last week. A customer sees your reputation (on the sites where you built it) and whether you are actually available, in the same place, at the moment they are deciding.
That is the whole proposition. Everything the other sites offer, plus availability.
Why bother if you are already on three of them
Three honest reasons.
It costs nothing to show availability. No subscription, no listing fee, no commission on the job. You pay only when you accept a customer, and from that point you deal with them direct.
Your profile gets found. Speedi profiles are indexed by Google. Of the businesses on Speedi, a hundred and two appeared in Google searches through their Speedi page in the last month — many of them businesses with no website at all, turning up for searches of their own name. If you have never had a website, this is one.
It works on the gaps, not just the jobs. A cancellation at half two is worth nothing on Checkatrade. On Speedi, you tap your light green and every customer following you is told. That is the half of the product most people never discover.
How to do it
- Open Speedi Pro and go to your profile.
- Paste in the links to your Checkatrade, Trustpilot, Google and anywhere else you have reviews.
- Add your website and socials while you are there.
- Tap your light green next time you have a gap.
That is it. Nothing to migrate, nothing to rebuild, no reviews to chase.
The one thing to get right
Link the profile page, not the search result. A Checkatrade link that lands on a list of plumbers in your town sends your customer to your competitors; one that lands on your own page sends them to eleven years of your reviews. Open the page, check it is yours, copy the address from the bar.
Your reputation already exists. The thing it cannot say is "I'm free this afternoon" — and that is the sentence that wins the job.
